Maruti Suzuki India recalls 1,492 cars including Ergita, A-Star, Swift and Dzire!

Maruti Suzuki India has recalled over 1,492 cars which include 306 nos of Ertiga, 592 nos of Swift, 581 nos of Dzire and 13 nos of A-Star. The cars are those which were sold between the dates 19th October to 26th October 2013. The issue Maruti Suzuki is addressing to is found defective and the company will replace the steering column absolutely free of cost.

The recall exercise is limited to the certain number of cars sold in India between those dates. The Maruti Suzuki dealers across the country will call the customers and the new steering column will be replaced, if found defective. If you have bought any of these cars between those dates, you can also check on the website www.marutisuzuki.com that if your car has been called for the same. You are requested to fill in the chassis number followed by the 14 alpha numeric number. The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and it can also be found in the vehicle invoice and the registration documents.
