Honda to launch a Brio based MPV in India in 2014!

The Brio has been quite an inspiration for the design language of Honda for few more cars now. It is not only the Honda Amaze sedan that is based on the hatch but a new 7-seater MPV is in the making and it will debut in Thailand in Indonesia, later make its way to India. The Honda Brio MPV, probably named the Honda Estate will be battling the game with the Toyota Avanza and Suzuki Ertiga in international markets, while in India – it will face tough competition against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Nissan Evalia!

The Honda Estate, or the Brio based MPV will have class leading engines – the same EarthDreams 1.5-litre engine that is home to Amaze sedan and the super refined petrol engines are always there. So, the speculative sketch has been released and it suggests there are a lot of hints taken from the Brio’s design and the rear of the MPV is inspired by the CRV – looks good, reminds us of an ideal Volvo SUV though!

It would be very interesting to see how does Honda manage to get the marketing strategies and pricing of the new Brio based MPV in India.
