The German auto giant Volkswagen too has hiked prices by on its Indian line up with immediate effect. After the price hike, hatchback Polo will now be priced in a bracket of Rs. 4.92 lakh and Rs. 7.08 lakh and Vento will cost Rs. 7.32- Rs.9.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Nevertheless the auto group has given reasons to rationalize the price hike. According to company officials, price hike comes at the background of some added features in Polo and Vento. While both the cars will now be featuring advanced stereo system that will come adorned with AUX-in port and a SD Card reader apart from the bluetooth and USB functionality, Vento and Polo top line variant will get climatronic air conditioner.

Mr Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said "VW India has always been putting efforts to offer value proposition to its customers and this time too, company has good reasons, why buyers should take home VW line up."

Volkswagen’s Indian journey has been quite buoyant with Polo and Vento and in the last year company managed to sell 62,507 units of Polo and Vento.
