Delay in parts supply continues to affect Honda Siel Cars India sales in December

The disruption in supply of components due to the Thailand Floods continues to affect the production at impacting its sales in the month of December 2011

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has been operating under severe production constraints since last two months due to the shortage of components due to the Thailand Floods that caused disruption in supply of components.

Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President Marketing & Sales, Honda Siel Cars India said “Our production for the December month was curtailed due to the recent impact of the Thailand floods. As a result of our efforts towards recovery, we will start stabilizing the production of the newly launched City from this month and will begin its deliveries”.

The company reported sales of 1,072 units during the month of December 2011. The model wise sales break-up is reported as 31 units of Brio, 600 units of City, 206 units of Jazz, 68 units of Civic, 61 units of Accord and 16 units of CRV SUV.
