Ford India assigns Joginder Singh as its New MD

Ford Motor Company officially declared the name of its new Ford India President and Managing Director, Joginder Singh with effect from 1st December 2012. The step is initiated as Michael Boneham, president and managing director-Ford India, has decided to choose a path of retirement effective December 31, 2012.

Michael Boneham is associated with Ford since 27 years and has got a really successful career graph in the company. He started his career in Human Resource Dept in Ford Australia and has worked in manufacturing as well management positions in Europe, North America and APA.

Newly elected Joginder Singh is presently working as president & managing director, Ford Business Services Center, Ford Motor Company. He is held accountable for all Ford’s Global Business Services operations headquartered in Chennai, India. Taking over its position as President and MD of Ford India, he will be placed at company’s corporate office in Delhi, reporting directly to Joe Hinrichs, the President, Ford Asia Pacific and Africa.

Joe Hinrichs proudly remarked, “Boneham has made a significant contribution to the brand’s growth in Asia and his leadership is definitely remarkable. He is responsible for creating the foundation blocks of Ford’s transition to a mass player and launching the game-changing model Ford Figo in the country. Moreover his new deal of setting up US$ 1 billion investment for our second production plant at Sanand assisted us in transforming Indian operations, truly his strategic direction led us grew commendably in India.”
