Mahindra and Mahindra have launched the Mini-Xylo as people call it – the Quanto in India. The most talked about feature about this car is the pricing, yes! It is so competitively priced – it is believed that it will give a run for the money to its contenders.

The company has priced the Quanto at Rs. 5.82 lakh for the C2 (base version), Rs. 6.35 lakh for the C4, Rs. 6.86 lakh for the C6 and Rs. 7.35 lakh for the top-end variant, C8. All these prices are ex-Mumbai.

The Quanto is powered by the 1.5cc twin-turbo engine which makes 10PS of power and 240Nm of torque. The car comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and Mahindra claims that this is the world’s smallest twin-turbo engine. Sounds promising, eh? In the ARAI certification, the car returns a prudent fuel efficiency of over 17kmpl.

The interiors and exteriors are inspired by the Xylo. The whole feel and look, also the stature is like the updated Xylo. Mahindra have thrown in twin airbags, ABS, reverse assist and engine immobilizer in the top-end C8 version. Based on the market maturity and popularity, the Quanto will be exported to Chile and other European countries.
